Tui Na Massage

Tui Na MassageOne of Tui Na’s advantages over simple massage is its ability to focus on specific problems, especially chronic pain associated with the muscles, joints, and skeletal system. It’s especially effective for joint pain (such as arthritis), sciatica, muscle spasms, and pain in the back, neck, and shoulders. It also helps chronic conditions such as insomnia, constipation, headaches (including migraines), and the tension associated with stress. Tui Na does not simply work on the muscles, bones, and joints. It works with the energy of the body at a deeper level.

Receiving a tui na massage on my back was a very effective massage. It instantly helped release the tension that was in between my rhomboids and traps. Tui na massage unlike regular massage was vigorous and deep, yet it was gentle enough to take the tension away. Some of the meridians that were covered was the bladder meridian. The bladder meridian is the longest meridian in the body which has 67 different points. Some main acupressure points that were touched was Bl-40 which is the control point of the lower back. The shu points BL-15,BL-15,BL-18,BL-20,and BL-23. All the elements were covered as well. Acupressure point BL-13 to the lungs is the metal element. BL-15 to the heart is the Fire element, BL-18 To the liver is the wood element, BL-20 to the spleen is the Earth element, and at last BL-23 to the kidneys is the Water Element. The massage was very effective and over time my pain diminished. The massage was very energizing, and had alot of good feedback.
